Dashboard guide
Write and tasks
Write encrypted documents with rich formatting and Focus mode, then organize your ideas and next actions in FavLock.
Write private documents
Open Write from the sidebar and select New document. Document titles and content are encrypted before they are saved, and can use the same collections and tags as your bookmarks.
Capture the useful part
Give your document a title and formatted body, or leave it untitled and name it later. Each body supports up to 10,000 characters on Free and Pro.
Keep it readable
Use headings, emphasis, highlights, lists, checklists, quotes, links, code, and simple tables. Paste supported formatting, or copy formatted or plain text. Images and embeds are not supported; clipboard access depends on your browser’s permissions.
Make room to write
Focus fills the window and hides document details. Choose Full width separately to use more horizontal space, or keep a comfortable line length.
Save without closing
Choose Save for a new document. Once it is saved, edits save automatically after a short pause while the editor is open and connected. Saving does not close the editor. Check its status and retry if a save fails.
Organize alongside links
Assign a collection and tags while creating or editing a document, then move it later from its card. Creating new tags requires a manual Save.
Find it again
All plans search document titles, tags, and collections. Pro also searches the decrypted document body on your device.
See the layout and feature overview on the FavLock Write page.
Plan and finish tasks
Open Tasks from the sidebar to keep next actions visible without turning your bookmark library into a to-do list.
- 1
Quick-add an action
Enter a task in Quick add and press Enter. You can set a due date there, or add details, a collection, and tags afterward. - 2
Focus the list
Use All, Open, Today, Upcoming, Overdue, or Done to narrow the list. Open is the default view, and active tasks are ordered by due date. - 3
Mark it complete
Select the circle on a task row. FavLock gives you six seconds to undo a completion if you clicked it by mistake.
