Settings and privacy

Manage your profile, dashboard preferences, sign-in options, browser imports, local data, theme, and resource usage.

Account settings

Profile

Update your first and last name. The account email is shown but cannot be changed here.

Preferences

Turn numbered bookmark search shortcuts on or off. The preference is saved to your account and applies across devices.

Data export

Create an encrypted .favlock archive protected by your recovery key, or a readable browser HTML export containing bookmarks.

Key transfer

Show a private QR from an unlocked laptop so another signed-in device can scan the encryption key.

Browser import

Choose an HTML export from Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, or a Safari ZIP export, and preserve supported folder nesting.

Keep your library tidy

Duplicate cleanup

On Pro, open Library health in the sidebar to scan for duplicate bookmarks. Review each group before removing extra copies; FavLock keeps the oldest copy and combines its organization. Removed copies are deleted permanently rather than moved to Trash. See Duplicate Monitor.

Trash recovery

Free includes 7-day recovery. Pro includes 30 days. See Trash and recovery.

Choose a theme

Open the theme menu below your profile in the sidebar, then choose Sunset, Retro, Neon, or Aurora. The preference is saved to your account.

Control search history and local browser data

Open Settings, select Security & privacy, then choose where recent searches are kept and what this browser profile remembers.

Search history can sync across devices, stay in this browser, or be turned off. The options are explained in Control encrypted search history. The settings below control what this browser profile keeps.

Remember the key

Stores the encryption key in this browser’s IndexedDB and loads it automatically on future visits.

Local search index

Stores decrypted titles, URLs, collection names, and tags locally so bookmark search is fast.

Lock & clear

Removes the saved key, decrypted search index, and local search history without signing out, then asks you to unlock again.

Review resource usage

Open Settings, then select Plan & usage to compare your account totals with the current limits.
