Dashboard guide

Trash and recovery

Restore recently deleted items before their recovery period expires, or permanently remove them when you are ready.

Recover deleted items

Deleting a bookmark, document, task, saved article, or highlight moves it to Trash first. Collections and tags are managed separately.

Bookmarks

Restore a deleted link with its saved details before it expires.

Documents and tasks

Recover a deleted document or task from the same Trash view, including its encrypted content.

Saved articles

Saved articles follow the same recovery flow, so an accidental delete does not immediately lose the snapshot.

Highlights

Restore a manually deleted encrypted highlight. When you restore a bookmark, its attached highlights return with it.

Restore in one step

Select Restore beside any item to return it to your library before its listed expiry date.

Know the recovery window

  1. 1

    Check the expiry date

Trash shows when every item was deleted and when its recovery window ends.
  2. 2

    Restore before it expires

Free items remain recoverable for 7 days. Pro items remain recoverable for 30 days. Highlight restores must fit the current plan allowance; a bookmark and its attached highlights restore together or remain in Trash together.
  3. 3

    Delete permanently only when sure

Delete forever removes one item immediately. Empty Trash permanently removes every item currently there; neither action can be undone.
