Getting started

Create your account, protect your encryption key, and save your first bookmark in a few minutes.

Create and unlock your account

Create your account
Register with Google or your email. Your account signs you in, but it does not decrypt your saved bookmark data.

Protect your encryption key
FavLock generates a separate 32-character key. Save it with a passkey so you can reuse it with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN.

Keep a recovery option
After saving the passkey, you can also download the backup code and store it somewhere private and durable. The same option is available when passkey protection is unsupported.

Select Add bookmark
Use the button above your bookmark grid. If you open it from a collection, that collection is selected automatically.

Enter the link details
Paste a domain such as example.com or a full http or https address, then enter a title for the bookmark.

Add context
Choose a collection and add up to 10 tags to this bookmark. You can also leave it unsorted and return to it in Unsorted.

Save
The protected fields are encrypted before storage, then the new card appears in your library.

Create one collection for a current project.
Favorite two or three links you open every day.
Press / to focus the dashboard search, then type a bookmark title, domain, tag, or collection.
Open the theme menu in the sidebar and choose the look you prefer.
