Encrypted before it's stored
FavLock reads your export in the browser and doesn't upload the file. Bookmark titles, URLs, collection names, and tag names are encrypted on your device before they're saved.
FavLock Pocket import
If you downloaded your Pocket export before it closed, FavLock can turn it into an encrypted library, keeping your tags and the split between unread and archived saves.
Pocket no longer offers exports, so you need the file you already downloaded. FavLock reads it in your browser and shows a preview before anything is saved.
Step 1
Look for the ZIP file you downloaded from Pocket. It contains CSV files such as part_000000.csv. A single CSV file or an older ril_export.html file also works.
Step 2
Sign in to FavLock, open Data transfer in the sidebar, and choose Import bookmarks.
Step 3
Choose the file. FavLock shows the links, duplicates, collections, and tags it found before anything is written. Start the import when the preview looks right.
| In Pocket | In FavLock |
|---|---|
| Saved link and title | A bookmark |
| Unread saves | A collection named Pocket |
| Archived saves | A Pocket › Archive subcollection |
| Tags | Tags, matched to tags you already have regardless of capitalization |
| Links already in FavLock | Your choice: skip, keep both, or overwrite |
Highlights, annotations, and the date each item was saved aren't imported. Imported bookmarks show the date of the import.

A Free account holds up to 1,000 bookmarks with unlimited collections and tags. FavLock checks the import against your allowance before it writes anything, and links that aren't web addresses are listed as invalid instead of imported.
No. Mozilla closed Pocket's export on November 12, 2025 and began deleting account data. FavLock can import an export you already downloaded, but it can't recover saves that were never exported.
Choose the ZIP file if you have it. FavLock reads every CSV part inside it, so large libraries that Pocket split into several files come across together. A single CSV file or an older ril_export.html file also works.
Each tag becomes a FavLock tag. Tags that match ones you already use are reused instead of duplicated. A bookmark can have up to 10 tags, so any extra tags are skipped and counted in the preview.
FavLock remembers its progress. Choose the same file again and select Reconcile and resume. FavLock checks what was already saved before it continues, so nothing is added twice.
